There are many things you need to do first when you want to create an attractive blog, one of the basic things is determining the appearance of the blog. The blog's unique appearance and easy access from any device will attract visitors to read articles on the blog that we create for a long time.

When you create a blog on Blogger, you will get lots of Blogger templates that you can use for free. Apart from that, there are also many free blogger template providers out there that you can use. Well, usually as a blogger you will be happy to use templates from outside because there are many choices according to your wishes and also good template optimization.

So how do you change the blogger template? There are two ways you can use to change the blogger template, the first way is by uploading the XML template file and the second way is by editing the HTML. You can use all of these methods to change the appearance of your blog template. So in this tutorial I will discuss the two types of installation methods with a step by step guide.

How to Install a Blogger Template Correctly?

Before I start the tutorial, of course there are several things you need to prepare, namely the blogger template file. If you haven't found a suitable template, maybe you can try using a jagodesign template such as Fletro Pro, Median UI or iMagz.

These three blog themes could be recommendations for you to use. If you already have a template file to install, then next we will go to the installation guide.

Method 1

Upload XML Blogger Template The first guide to changing the blogger template is by uploading the template file. Here are the steps:

Step 1: Enter the Blogger Dashboard Page.

Step 2: Click " Theme " in the option panel on the left.

Step 3: You will see a display like the following image, Click " Down Arrow "  Button.

Before we start I will recommend you to take a Backup of your current theme. By chance if any problem occurs, you can restore it later.

Step 4: Still in the same display and click the " Restore " button then click " Upload " and look for the .xml template file that you already have.

Step 5: Wait until the process is complete and your template has uploaded and changed.

Method 2

Change Blogger Template Edit HTML Apart from the first method, you can also change the blogger template manually, namely copying the XML template code to Blogger in HTML editing mode.

Step 1: Open the .xml file using a text editor such as notepad, wordpad, notpad++ or similar.

Step 2: Copy all the template code by pressing Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C (Ctrl+A to select all the code, Ctrl+C to copy the selected code).

Step 3: Go to the Blogger Dashboard Page.

Step 4: Click "Theme" in the options panel on the left.

Step 5: You will see a display like the following image, Click "Down arrow" and click "Edit HTML".

Step 6: Delete all the old blog template code then paste the new template code that was previously copied.

Step 7: Finally click the " Save theme " Button.

You can of course practice these two methods easily, so what if you blog using a cellphone, can you change the template? The answer is of course possible, although it is a little complicated due to the limitations of the cellphone's small display. But there is a simple trick that you can do, here is a guide to the steps.

Change Blogger Templates via Phone

Step 1: Go to the Blogger Dashboard Page via the browser on your cellphone.

Step 2: Change your cellphone browser display to Desktop Mode by clicking the three dots on the browser then checking desktop display mode. Automatically your blogger dashboard page will be the same as the Desktop display.

Step 3: Next, you can follow the steps above that have been explained.
